Oven Roasted Asparagus with Garlic, Lemon and Parmesan Cheese, is the perfect, simple and easy asparagus recipe which can be ready to serve withing 30 minutes.  This side dish goes well with any type dish. Check how to make roasted asparagus with garlic and parmesan.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs 2 bunches asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder OR 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • ½ lemon juice and zest
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

  • To Make lemon garlic roasted asparagus, first preheat the oven at 425˚ F.
  • Take baking sheet and line it up with parchment paper. Rinse the asparagus spears. Make them completely dry with paper towels.
  • Next take the asparagus and snap off the hard and woody ends. (check how to prepare asparagus)
  • Take a small bowl mix together olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder or garlic cloves, lemon zest in it.
  • Drizzle this oil mixture over the asparagus and toss well. Then lay the asparagus spears in line on the baking sheet.
  • Now bake for 10 - 15 minutes or till asparagus becomes tender, bright green and the ends start to brown.
  • Then remove roasted asparagus from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle grated parmesan cheese. Now the oven roasted asparagus with lemon garlic parmesan is ready for serve .

Notes

  • leftover roasted asparagus can last upto 3 - 4 days. But enjoy the flavor and texture immediately after cooking or within a 1 day
  • if you don't have fresh garlic, garlic powder is a good substitute.
  • don't overcook the asparagus, keep checking it.
