Instructions

  • For garlic butter salmon pan seared, remove the salmon fillets from refrigerators at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • At room temperature, pat dry the salmon with a paper towel. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the fillets, and apply them evenly on both sides.
  • Take the large nonstick or cast iron pan, and heat it on medium-high heat till very hot. Add the olive oil and superheat it.
  • Add salmon fillets to the oil with the skin side up. Sear them for 3 - 4 minutes, without disturbing them till they get golden and crispy.
  • Flip them on the other sides and sear for another  3 -4 minutes or the salmon fillets easily flake and become opaque. Then remove them from the pan.
  • Add the butter to this pan, and when it starts melting add garlic. Let it cook for 30 seconds stirring occasionally. Add the lemon juice and stir well. Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the salmon to the lemon garlic butter sauce.  Baste the salmon fillets occasionally with the sauce for another 1 minute. Sprinkle pan seared salmon with garlic butter sauce with chopped parsley and garnish with lemon slices before serving.

Notes

  • for better results it is better to use a non stick pan, I have used the cast iron skillet
  • salmon skinless also can be used in this recipe
  • if you don't want butter than olive oil is a good substitute.
  • little extra garlic also can be used according to your taste.
