How to Make Honey Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli
- In a small bowl, mix together honey, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. In another bowl add the shrimp, and pour over 1/3 of the sauce prepared. Mix it well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes. (the more it is marinated it will be better).
- To the remaining sauce add the cornstarch, whisk very well and keep aside.
- In the meantime, heat a heavy-duty skillet pan on medium-high heat. Add little oil and stir fry the broccoli florets with a little salt, cook till it gets tender and keep aside. Cutting it into small florets helps to cook better.
- Remove the marinated shrimp from the bowl and discard the marinade. Divide them into two batches. Add 1 tablespoon oil to the heavy-duty skillet and sear every batch for 1 minute on each side or until they turn brown on each side and get curled.
- Add all the shrimp to the pan and add the reserved sauce and bring to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and mix it well and till the sauce is thickened. The Honey Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli can be garnished with green onions.
