- rosemary

- chicken or vegetable stock / broth
- red pepper flakes (optional) (to taste)
- potatoes (diced 1/2 inch cubes)

How To Cook Cabbage Sausage And Potato Soup
- To make cabbage and sausage soup, first heat one tablespoon oil in the Dutch oven or large pot. Add the kielbasa smoked sausage. Cook until browned, flipping occasionally for nearly 4 – 5 minutes. Remove and keep them aside.
- On medium-high heat, add the remaining oil with onions, carrots, and celery. Sauté until soft stirring occasionally. Add garlic and cook until fragrant for nearly 30 seconds. Add oregano, thyme, and rosemary and cook for another 30 seconds, stirring frequently.
- Add chopped cabbage and cook for another 2 minutes, until it begins to wilt. Add the tomato juice, stir well, and get it to a boil. Now add the chicken stock, potatoes, bay leaf, cooked sausage, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and cook till it comes to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer till the potatoes get cooked and tender. Adjust seasoning according to taste. Serve cabbage smoked sausage soup with fresh thyme and crusty bread.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 package 15 ounce kielbasa smoked sausage (sliced)
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 carrots sliced into rounds
- 2 celery stalks sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 small green cabbage chopped into pieces
- 1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes with juices
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- pinch rosemary
- 1 small head green cabbage chopped to 1 inch pieces
- 1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes with juices
- 6 cups chicken or vegetable stock / broth
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional (adjust to taste)
- 1 large potatoes diced 1/2 inch cubes
- salt to taste (if ended)
