- For garlic butter salmon one pan, take the salmon fillets from the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry the salmon with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Sprinkle salt and pepper all over and rub them evenly.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet or cast iron pan, on medium-high till very hot. Add olive oil and heat till it gets super hot. Then add the salmon fillets with the skin side up, and sear for 3 – 4 minutes, without disturbing until golden and crispy.
- Flip the salmon fillets on the other sides and sear them for another 3 – 4 minutes until the salmon fillets easily flake, and are opaque and light pink. Remove them from the pan.

- 4 salmon fillets approx 6 ounces each (skinless)

- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves finely minced / chopped
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsely leaves chopped
- Lemon slices for garnish optional

- Add the butter to this pan, and when it starts melting add garlic. Let it cook for 30 seconds stirring occasionally. Add the lemon juice and stir well. Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the salmon to the lemon garlic butter sauce. Baste the salmon fillets occasionally with the sauce for another 1 minute. Sprinkle pan seared salmon with garlic butter sauce with chopped parsley and garnish with lemon slices before serving.
Notes
- for better results it is better to use a non stick pan, I have used the cast iron skillet
- salmon skinless also can be used in this recipe
- if you don't want butter than olive oil is a good substitute.
