There are many ways to to reheat the chicken:
1. Reheat chicken in the oven
- To reheat the chicken in the oven, first place the chicken pieces in the oven dish / tray safe container, and keep spacing between the chicken pieces. If any chicken juices or gravies are left add them over the chicken pieces with little water or chicken broth. To get crispy effects on the chicken, brush olive oil on the chicken.
- Cover the oven dish / tray with aluminum foil to avoid chicken drying.
- First Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. After the oven has reached 425 degrees F, keep the oven dish / tray in the oven for reheating. Chicken cut into pieces will consume less time than the whole chicken or big pieces. You can check the internal temperature, if it has reached 165 degrees F, it is done.
2. Reheat chicken in the microwave
- To reheat the chicken in microwave, first place the chicken pieces in the microwave-safe dish. Arrange the chicken pieces properly on the dish. Keep the big chicken pieces towards the edge of the dish and the smaller chicken pieces towards the center. Keep spaces between the chicken pieces and keep them in one layer. It is safe to use microwave-safe dishes.
- Cover the chicken with some sauces. Alternatively add little water, chicken broth, or chicken gravy over the chicken to keep it moist and to avoid drying.
- Wrap the the microwave-safe dish with microwave-safe plastic wrap.
- Then reheat the chicken for at least 2 minutes, at halfway just turn the chicken pieces and continue. After reheating check if the internal temperature of the center of the thickest piece of chicken is cooked at least at 165 degrees F. If not, continue reheating for another few minutes.
reheating in the microwave depends on the number of chicken pieces, many chicken pieces will consume more time.
DO NOT USE ALUMINIUM FOILS IN MICROWAVE
3. Reheat Chicken on the Stove top
- To reheat cooked chicken on a stove, a nonstick frying pan is the best utensil that can be used to reheat the chicken. A little oil / butter, leftover gravy, or little water to cover the bottom can be used to prevent the chicken pieces from sticking to the pan.
- Keep the frying pan on medium heat, and add the chicken pieces. As soon as the water starts to simmer, lower the heat. Keep stirring the chicken regularly to avoid sticking and also turn the chicken pieces for it to get hot evenly. Once the chicken has become hot to 165 degrees F, the chicken is ready.
